Resident Evil Village — Pirated Version Plays Better than Original?!

There has been speculation that the pirated version for Resident Evil Village for PC runs better that the original version. As reported by the Technology Editor for Digital Foundry, Richard Leadbetter, it seems to be true.
Leadbetter stated that the most prominent issue for the official PC version of Resident Evil Village are key animations during combat. This can be seen prominently as there are visible lags when performing action. This is regarded not good for a survival horror shooter game. Another thing is during the cut-scene when encountering the ‘SPOILERS ALERT’ — the daughters of Lady Dimitrescu. Their encounters are always accompanied with noticeable frame-time stutter. UnThese issues are not visible in the console versions.
After two months since the game was released, no official patches were released to fix the issues. On the other hand, the crack version fixed them.
As quoted by Leadbetter, “Combat is now smooth and consistent across the board, with no split-second freezing. While there’s conjecture that the pirate version of the game may be missing some animations, battles against Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters play out with no sudden lurches and stutters”.
